Responsibilities
- 01Build and maintain stable, scalable foundational services that can be leveraged by other engineering teams, based off solid architectural principles and cross-team collaboration
- 02Collaborate with many internal partners and product teams to influence the design of our API surface
- 03Design and develop reliable, secure, highly available and delightful experiences for both customer personas: the dbt Cloud admin and the end user
- 04Collaborate with Product Management, UX designers, Security, and Customer Support
- 05Ensure high programming standards by writing unit, functional, and integration tests
- 06Have a systematic problem-solving approach coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
Requirements
- 01Have strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming
- 02Have designed and built API-driven applications using REST and/or gRPC for API endpoints
- 03Have experience supporting and evolving APIs through multiple iterations
- 04Are able to balance speed of delivery with designing scalable, reusable components
- 05Are passionate about design and code reviews that help grow the team
- 06Are highly motivated and able to work autonomously
- 07Are ready to go outside of the team’s realm when there are infrastructure-related dependencies and collaborate with other teams to aid the delivery of team features
