Responsibilities
- 01Define and execute multi-year product strategy for priority industry verticals
- 02Translate strategic thesis into concrete roadmap, deciding native builds, platform extensibility, and partnerships
- 03Own measurable outcomes tied to revenue, adoption, and merchant satisfaction
- 04Identify unmet needs through customer research, data analysis, and market intelligence
- 05Lead full product lifecycle from problem definition, technical scoping, PRD, API and UX design, build, launch, and iteration
- 06Make trade‑off decisions on scope, technical approach, and sequencing with engineering
- 07Work closely with large customers, partners, and GTM teams to translate market signals into product requirements
- 08Define data models and integration patterns for enterprise customers in the vertical
- 09Influence core Stripe product teams to align their roadmaps with enterprise vertical requirements
- 10Deeply understand Stripe APIs, infrastructure constraints, and extensibility model to advocate for platform changes
Requirements
- 0112+ years of product management experience with successful products in complex, regulated environments
- 02Technical fluency: ability to read API specifications, reason about system design trade‑offs, and engage in engineering discussions
- 03Proven track record of shipping products where implementation details mattered
- 04Strong customer obsession and ability to translate pain points into product requirements
- 05Analytical rigor: define metrics frameworks, analyze usage data, and make data‑driven prioritization decisions
- 06Excellent written communication skills for precise, persuasive documentation
- 07High agency and influence: build consensus and drive initiatives without formal authority
- 08Entrepreneurial mindset with bias for action in ambiguous, resource‑constrained settings
- 09Preferred: experience building products in healthtech, insurtech, public sector or similarly regulated industries
- 10Preferred: experience building platform, API, or developer‑facing products
- 11Preferred: experience collaborating with enterprise sales teams and C‑suite stakeholders at Fortune 500 companies
