• 01Write code to implement new features or optimize existing services
• 02Test code through various means: unit tests, integration tests, performance tests, etc.
• 03Participate in the code review process by providing feedback on pull requests
• 04Participate in on-call rotation, supporting systems and services during production incidents
• 05Actively participate in team ceremonies and activities like stand-ups, scrum-ceremonies, high-level architecture discussions and breakdown and estimation of tasks

• 013+ years of experience in software engineering
• 02Proficient in Java and at least one other OOP language such as Kotlin, Scala, Python, Go, JavaScript or TypeScript
• 03Experience using source control systems and CI/CD pipelines
• 04Able to design backend architectures
• 05Knowledge of caching technologies
• 06Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, databases, etc.)
• 07Strong understanding of design patterns and principles
• 08Knowledge of asynchronous programming
• 09Strong communication skills and a desire to share your knowledge with team members and others at Disney
• 10Experience deploying and scaling within a cloud infrastructure
• 11Experience with messaging technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, etc.)
• 12Experience with functional programming patterns
• 13Experience with Datadog, New Relic or similar application monitoring software
• 14Interacting with relational databases as well as NoSQL databases
• 15Understanding of async programming models (events, callbacks, promises, async/await)
• 16Understanding of source control concepts and exposure to Git
• 17Build and deployment technologies such as Jenkins and Docker
• 18BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience

• 01The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $123,000 - $165,000 per year
• 02Base pay may vary based on internal equity, geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
• 03A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package
