Staff Network Engineer (FedRamp)

- 01Work with various teams to design and implement scalable, and reliable network solutions
- 02Maintain a highly available cloud infrastructure edge for the Okta identity platform
- 03Collect and analyze data to identify root causes for network-specific events
- 04Automate AWS infrastructure with Terraform and/or Chef
- 05Evolve the system by introducing changes to improve efficiency, scalability, and velocity
Требования
- 018+ years experience in a Cloud Network Engineer role or related
- 02Demonstrated in-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking stack; (layer 2 through 7)
- 03Ability to implement a highly available VPC network, including inter-vpc connectivity
- 04Working knowledge of stateless and stateful firewalls
- 05Familiar with DNS, web-application firewalls, and various load balancing methods available in the cloud
- 06Deep knowledge of AWS/GCP network concepts such as Transit Gateway / Network Connectivity Center (NCC), Site-to-Site VPN / HA VPN, and Direct Connect / Cloud Interconnect
- 07Ability to troubleshoot network issues using AWS VPC flow logs and Cloudwatch metrics, as well as GCP VPC Flow Logs / Cloud Logging, alongside standard packet captures
- 08Experience working with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet or similar automation tools
- 09Proficiency in Bash, Python, Golang, or similar
- 10Experienced with git
- 11Able to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders
- 12Willingness to work on-call
- 13Ability to access federal environments and/or have access to protected federal data
- 14Must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status (e.g. a U.S. Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee. 22 CFR 120.15) upon hire

- 01Annual base salary range (San Francisco Bay area): $194,000 — $267,000 USD
- 02Annual base salary range (California excluding San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Washington): $174,000 — $239,000 USD
- 03Equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave)
