Research Engineer / Research Scientist, Pre-training

- 01Conduct research and implement solutions in areas such as model architecture, algorithms, data processing, and optimizer development
- 02Independently lead small research projects while collaborating with team members on larger initiatives
- 03Design, run, and analyze scientific experiments to advance our understanding of large language models
- 04Optimize and scale our training infrastructure to improve efficiency and reliability
- 05Develop and improve dev tooling to enhance team productivity
- 06Contribute to the entire stack, from low-level optimizations to high-level model design
Требования
- 01Degree (BA required, MS or PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
- 02Strong software engineering skills with a proven track record of building complex systems
- 03Expertise in Python and deep learning frameworks
- 04Have worked on high-performance, large-scale ML systems, particularly in the context of language modeling
- 05Familiarity with ML Accelerators, Kubernetes, and large-scale data processing
- 06Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset
- 07Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Условия
- 01Annual Salary: CHF280,000 — CHF680,000 CHF
- 02Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time
- 03Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas
