Обязанности
- 01Architect the end-to-end design for telemetry data landing, modeling, and querying
- 02Define semantic conventions, shared business identifiers, and schema standards for telemetry data
- 03Lead migration to OpenTelemetry-based instrumentation and define collector architecture
- 04Own architecture connecting observability platform to Databricks and MLflow for AI telemetry
- 05Bring first-class observability to data estate including Databricks jobs and pipelines
- 06Build analytics layer on telemetry for reliability metrics, cost models, and adoption reporting
- 07Architect high-volume collection and routing tier for telemetry across multiple regions
- 08Set cost architecture for observability data including ingest governance and storage tiering
- 09Partner with Data Platform, AI Platform, and infrastructure organizations
- 10Lead design and code reviews, author architecture decisions, and mentor engineers
- 11Participate in production support and on-call rotation for complex issue resolution
Требования
- 0110+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems, data platforms, or observability infrastructure
- 02Experience at Principal or Staff level
- 03Deep observability expertise with hands-on production ownership of metrics, logs, and distributed tracing at scale
- 04Experience with major observability backends like Datadog
- 05Understanding of cardinality and cost mechanics
- 06Demonstrated depth in large-scale data architecture including open table formats
- 07Experience with Spark or comparable distributed processing
- 08Experience with streaming ingestion, partitioning, schema evolution, and query performance tuning
- 09Practical experience with Databricks

- 03Can be located in Bellevue, WA office
- 04May work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer
- 05Participation in production support and on-call rotation
