Обязанности
- 01Define, plan, and execute projects that help to run, grow, and transform MongoDB's self-service internal developer platform
- 02Take on direct reports and organize work for a team of platform engineers in coordination with other engineering leads
- 03Lead by example and act as a mentor to other engineers
- 04Work with engineering teams across MongoDB to investigate gaps and limitations in existing development workflows and understand new infrastructure and platform requirements
- 05Regularly write and review automation, configuration management, and application code
- 06Author and review functional specifications and scoping documents for large platform projects and services
- 07Own and operate much of the internal development platform that runs MongoDB
- 08Work on a distributed team that frequently interacts with remote engineers across multiple time zones (PST, EST, GMT, IST)
- 09Understand infrastructure requirements and development workflows of engineering teams
- 10Develop broadly applicable self-service platform services and tooling
- 11Continuously monitor how platform services are being utilized and look for ways to improve developer productivity through automation and education
Требования
- 012+ years of experience managing and mentoring a team of 3+ engineers
- 025+ years of experience owning the design and implementation of large software/infrastructure projects
- 03Built and operated large-scale distributed systems in cloud providers (AWS strongly preferred)
- 04Strong backend programming background; fluency in Go strongly preferred; deep experience with another compiled or strongly-typed backend language acceptable
- 05Pragmatic, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and understands the benefits of collaboration
- 06Strong experience operating production Kubernetes clusters, not just deployed to it
- 07Practical experience defining and operating against SLI/SLOs for services owned
- 08Strong experience with observability tooling: metrics, logging, traces, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
- 09Strong Linux and TCP/IP networking skills
- 10Familiar with standard authentication protocols (OAuth, OIDC)
- 11Familiar with web services and/or Kubernetes controller development
- 12Strong experience using CI/CD workflows to deploy production services
- 13Experience working with AI coding agents and able to demonstrate building high quality context to yield high quality outputs
- 14Based in Gurugram for hybrid working model
