Engineering Manager, Telemetry Agent and Edge

Обязанности

01Grow and develop your team: manage 4 to 6 engineers directly with 1:1s, career growth, performance, and team health
02Own delivery: plan, sequence, and de-risk a multi-phase release with a fixed finish line, and be accountable for shipping it
03Set the technical direction for your area: partner closely with the tech lead, ask hard questions and make sound tradeoff calls
04Keep the operational bar high: ensure rollout safety, low overhead, and reliability of the agent running on every customer node
05Own the team's oncall rotation and the operational health of the agent fleet
06Coordinate across team boundaries: sequence dependencies and escalate early for work that ships inside other teams' releases
07Shape the team over time: work with recruiting on sourcing, run interviews, close candidates, and onboard them well
08Collaborate across functions: partner with product, infrastructure teams, peer managers, and leadership to align priorities

015+ years of hands-on engineering experience in systems software: host agents, telemetry collectors, daemons, or performance-sensitive software
022+ years directly managing software engineers
03Experience coaching senior and staff-level engineers
04Comfort partnering with a strong tech lead
05Track record of shipping multi-phase projects against fixed deadlines
06Strong communication and judgment skills
07Ability to align people across functions and explain tradeoffs to technical and non-technical partners
