Responsibilities

  • 01Partner with Safeguards policy teams on design and iteration of usage policies across harm areas
  • 02Advise on policy enforcement frameworks such as account actions, appeals, enforcement systems and thresholds
  • 03Counsel on sensitive escalations and strategic response involving governments, law enforcement, regulators, and press
  • 04Advise on safety and security threat intelligence investigations, bug bounty and red-team programs
  • 05Support safeguards and security engineering teams on building new tooling and detection mechanisms
  • 06Serve as first-line legal contact for safety and security incidents providing real-time guidance
  • 07Build and maintain crisis management playbooks, escalation protocols, and self-serve legal guidance
  • 08Stay abreast of key policy and regulatory developments in AI safety and security across relevant jurisdictions

Requirements

  • 01Qualification to practice law in Ireland or another relevant jurisdiction
  • 02Legal drafting and advisory experience producing written guidance, policy language, and risk assessments
  • 03Working knowledge of trust & safety, cybersecurity, privacy, or platform regulation
  • 04Experience with fast-moving, high-stakes matters such as investigations, regulatory matters, crisis management
  • 05Technical fluency sufficient to understand system architecture, data flows, and AI model behavior
  • 06Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder responses to time-sensitive matters
  • 078+ years of relevant legal experience
  • 08In-house (product counsel) experience at technology company or law firm experience advising tech clients
  • 09Experience with content moderation, platform safety, and crisis management
  • 10Facility working with technical teams including machine learning, safety research, infrastructure
  • 11Familiarity with AI systems, machine learning concepts, or experience advising on novel technology products
  • 12Strong judgment about risk assessment and decision-making under uncertainty
  • 13Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
