Responsibilities
- 01Build and evolve the backend systems that move creator content into and out of Spotify at massive scale
- 02Expand our platform to support new and emerging content formats and distribution standards
- 03Lead complex, cross-functional technical initiatives in close partnership with product managers, engineers, partner teams, and stakeholders across Spotify
- 04Collaborate with teams across Spotify to evolve our platform architecture
- 05Participate in on-call and goalie rotations to maintain the reliability and health of critical platform services
Requirements
- 01Professional experience building backend systems
- 02Strong experience in Java
- 03Familiarity with JavaScript or Ruby on Rails is a plus
- 04Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS
- 05Experience with relational databases such as MySQL
- 06Understanding of platform and distributed systems
- 07Experience building APIs or services that operate at scale
- 08Full stack experience is a plus
- 09Comfortable using AI-powered developer tools such as Claude as a core part of development workflow
- 10Thrive in fast-moving environments and handle change with ease
- 11Communicate clearly with teammates and external partners
