Responsibilities
- 01Administer assigned elements of the annual and mid-year compensation cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of system updates, testing, and training/announcement materials.
- 02Conduct job pricing using standardized methodologies as part of market benchmarking process.
- 03Maintain pay ranges and support job mapping and internal equity analysis as part of pay structure upkeep.
- 04Support pay equity audits and data validation activities under guidance from senior team members, maintaining audit-ready documentation.
- 05Serve as a first escalation point for employee compensation questions submitted via People Help tickets, escalating complex issues as needed.
- 06Administer day-to-day benefits administration such as enrollments, terminations, life events, and audits within established SOPs and SLAs, including with international benefit providers.
- 07Own assigned components of Open Enrollment and renewal cycles, ensuring accurate execution and documentation.
- 08Coordinate with vendors on eligibility files, audits, and issue resolution, escalating as needed.
- 09Drive routine Leave of Absence (LOA) processing and data updates, ensuring payroll and benefits accuracy during leave.
- 10Support compliance activities (ACA, COBRA, and other statutory programs) under guidance, maintaining audit-ready records.
- 11Communicate benefits information clearly and empathetically; serve as a first escalation point for employee benefits questions submitted via People Help tickets, escalating complex issues as needed.
- 12Maintain compensation and benefits data accuracy across Workday, payroll, and vendor systems, running audits and correcting discrepancies.
- 13Generate standard reports and dashboards supporting compensation cycles and benefits metrics.
- 14Assist in identifying simple patterns in the data that could indicate inconsistencies or opportunities for improvement.
- 15Own compensation and benefits survey submissions, including internal-to-external job mapping.
- 16Build and maintain basic automated workflows (e.g., Zapier, Cowork) to help the team run more smoothly.
- 17Keep process documentation current and organized so others can follow established protocols easily.
- 18Suggest ways to improve processes using automation or AI tools, with support from senior team members on implementation.
Requirements
- 012-4 years of experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards, especially in a global and/or remote company.
- 02Strong analytical and quantitative skills, attention to detail, and highly proficient in Excel and Google Sheets.
- 03Familiar with HRIS systems and compensation/benefits management tools such as Workday, Pave, and Radford.
- 04Experience with AI and automation tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Cowork/Chat, and Zapier.
- 05Can apply sound judgment within established SOPs and know when to escalate — this role owns defined processes with edge cases, not fully autonomous program design.
- 06Excel in communication and can work effectively and collaboratively across diverse teams including other People teams, Finance, Payroll, Sales, and Legal.
