Responsibilities
- 01Create and test reliable cloud infrastructure services that support Webflow’s range of products
- 02Lead initiatives to reduce triage load, increase reliability, and handle the growing scale of our customer’s needs
- 03Balance reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency concerns while refactoring and modernizing existing services
- 04Collaborate with product engineering teams to deliver new solutions for services and ways of working that might not exist yet
- 05Participate in design discussions and code reviews with your team
- 06Participate in and continuously improve on-call and incident response processes
- 07Enhance engineering speed and safety through standardized processes, automation, and cloud best practices
- 08Mentor and teach junior engineers best practices and hard-earned lessons from your time as a developer
- 09Give feedback to other teams on designs for tools and software solutions
Requirements
- 01BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- 028+ years of experience building, maintaining, and debugging distributed systems in a customer-facing environment that allows for little to no downtime
- 03Hand-on experience building and scaling multi-region cloud environments on either AWS or GCP
- 04Experience using Cloudflare workers and Cloudflare tooling
- 05Experience with container-centric architectures built with tools like Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS, OpenShift, etc.), ECS, or Mesos
- 06Experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling like Terraform or Pulumi
- 07Experience with Agentic development
- 08Enthusiasm for mentoring and sponsoring less-experienced engineers
- 09Have strong communication and collaboration skills
- 10Have familiarity with contributing to fullstack applications, services, and tools authored in TypeScript, Node, or Go
- 11Have experience leading projects and mentoring or coaching junior engineers
- 12Strong results and impact on shipped projects
- 13Stay curious and open to growth — demonstrating a proactive embrace of AI, and actively building and applying fluency in emerging technologies to elevate how we work, drive faster outcomes, and expand collective impact
