Responsibilities
- 01Set product direction for how the AI assistant reasons and responds, and paint a multi-quarter vision with the customer at the center
- 02Align that vision with senior leaders and cross-functional partners
- 03Work fluently with production data, explore it directly, use modern AI tools and coding agents to move fast, validate analyses, and identify when results look incorrect
- 04Build new capabilities end-to-end, from identifying needs through hands-on work that makes behavior real and calibrates it with human input
- 05Define what a correct, complete resolution looks like for each user problem and align engineering, policy, and knowledge partners around that definition
- 06Define success in measurable terms: resolution rate, answer accuracy and safety, and the launch readiness bar for changes
- 07Own launch readiness for major model and platform changes, balancing speed to learn with required safety and risk work
- 08Diagnose failures in complex AI systems and judge where fixes belong
- 09Own the evaluation strategy, including LLM-based evaluators, offline and live-traffic evaluation, calibration, certification, and tooling for non-engineers to improve the assistant
- 10Bring together teams with different perspectives to reach shared answers, set early agreements with partners, and push for a single source of truth across the product
- 11Present to leadership regularly, leading with decisions, tradeoffs, and asks, and tailoring the narrative to the audience
Requirements
- 019+ years building technology products, with at least 5 years in product management or a closely related technical role (engineering, data science, or applied research) where you owned product direction
- 02Direct experience shipping generative AI or ML products to production, ideally including retrieval-augmented generation, agentic or function-calling architectures, and evaluation systems
- 03Hands-on technical depth: ability to read and debug prompts, understand ML and engineering constraints, and author artifacts that shape production behavior
- 04Data fluency: ability to work directly with production data, validate analyses end-to-end, and recognize when results look wrong
- 05Depth in LLM evaluation: experience designing, calibrating, or certifying automated model-based evaluations and turning vague quality signals into diagnostic, measurable components
- 06Strong sense for great user experience, including how latency, tone, and trust shape AI interactions
- 07Comfort owning an ambiguous, cross-cutting mandate spanning multiple teams' focus areas and influencing alignment
- 08Track record of scaling impact through others: setting clear bars, assigning owners, and holding them accountable
- 09Strong executive communication: leading with decisions and asks, adjusting narrative to audience
- 10Radical thinking paired with strong execution: envisioning a meaningfully better system and articulating the path to achieve it
