Responsibilities
- 01Lead the development of products for customers to get insights on AI and data workloads, optimize performance, and lower costs
- 02Build data infrastructure processing billions of entries daily
- 03Deploy to over 65 cloud regions worldwide
- 04Enable major companies to conduct DevOps, FinOps, SecOps and AIOps jobs
- 05Lead technical development of product milestones from requirements refinement through execution and operation
- 06Develop systems for customers to answer questions about their Databricks environment
- 07Make it easy for frameworks teams to publish their data to customers
- 08Contribute to long-term vision and requirements development for Databricks products
- 09Mentor other engineers
- 10Optimize scalability and cost of large data pipelines
- 11Drive integration with popular tools and services in data warehousing ecosystem
Requirements
- 016+ years of production level experience in Java, Scala, Python, C++, or similar language
- 02Experience with cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes
- 03Proven track record in architecting, developing, deploying, and operating components of large scale distributed systems
- 04Strong software engineering maturity: security, correctness, engineering excellence, operational excellence
- 05Platform mindset: building platforms for other software teams, iterating quickly to reduce friction to adoption
- 06Strong cross-functional skills for working with internal and external platform customers
