Senior Software Engineer, Network Performance & Reliability

Responsibilities
- 01Enable more reliable network connectivity for Cloudflare's products
- 02Work with Engineering teams to translate requirements into new platform capabilities
- 03Partner with Network Engineering and SRE to optimize use of Cloudflare's edge network
- 04Participate in all stages of software development lifecycle
- 05Design and document systems
- 06Write code and automated tests
- 07Plan, manage, and monitor production software deployments
- 08Operate under Run What You Build model
- 09Participate in on-call rotation for system health
Requirements
- 01Systems-level programming experience in Go, Rust, C, or C++
- 02Solid grasp of networking protocols in Layers 3 and 4 of the OSI Model
- 03Knowledge of HTTP, TLS, and CDN networks
- 04Experience in implementing secure and highly-available distributed systems
- 05Experience with monitoring, alerting, and debugging large-scale distributed systems
- 06Experience participating in an on-call rotation
- 07Strong collaboration and communication skills
- 08Experience/interest in network performance monitoring and tuning
- 09Willingness to adopt and integrate AI tools and systems into engineering workflow
