Responsibilities

01Design and implement intuitive user interface components that enhance user commitment, using TypeScript, React, and Node.js
02Integrate front-end elements seamlessly with back-end services to ensure a smooth user experience
03Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to drive continuous improvements
04Own complex, loosely-defined problems end-to-end: shape the approach, split the work if needed, make the key technical decisions, and deliver
05Lead discussions on architecture and system design
06Establish coding standards and ensure the team adheres to them throughout the development process
07Promote reusable components to improve efficiency and implement automated testing and deployment to maintain code quality
08Evaluate new technologies for potential integration and document best practices to facilitate team-wide knowledge sharing
09Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
10Collaborate async across timezones with a fully-distributed team, working in the open on GitHub and in Slack
11Partner closely with designers and product managers to apprehend user experience goals and translate their mockups into functional UI components
12Ensure a consistent visual design across all UI elements
13Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for enhancing the user interface

01Solid production experience with full-stack JavaScript, preferably TypeScript
02React on the front end and Node.js on the back end
03Some experience with Reactflow is a plus
04A track record of leading non-trivial projects end-to-end, with real design ownership and minimal guidance
05Proficient architecture and system-design judgment, including in large, existing codebases
06Successfully designed and launched multiple user interface components that significantly increased user commitment
07Experience using AI-assisted development tools
08Exemplary written and verbal communication, and a genuine excitement for async collaboration and knowledge-sharing

10A generalist streak and a user-focused mindset, with consideration for the people using your software
