Responsibilities

01Drive day to day analytics and create scalable data tools
02Identify pain points in customer support operations and work with product leadership to improve experiences
03Leverage Airbnb’s data and machine learning infrastructure to build and grow measurement capacity
04Be involved in the technical details of various systems and collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers and operations agents
05Lead and drive data-driven roadmaps for the CS working groups
06Recommend actionable solutions backed by data and metrics to product problems
07Build the business insights & reporting platform to detect and support driving efficacy and efficiency
08Perform data modeling of various entities and use tools & frameworks for optimizing experiences
09Define and evaluate key metrics in an unstructured problem space including measurement of new product launches
10Influence data-driven decisions via business reviews, scorecards, self-serve portal, OKRs and planning
11Influence experimentation & measurement strategies; conduct power analyses, define exit criteria

01A minimum of 8+ years of industry experience in business analytics
02Degree (Masters or PhD is a plus) in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research)
03Experience supporting customer service support and/or have worked closely with operations teams
04Expert skills in SQL
05Expert in at least one programming language for data analysis (Python or R)
06Experience with non-experimental causal inference methods, experimentation and machine learning techniques, ideally in a multi-sided platform setting
07Working knowledge of schema design and high-dimensional data modeling (ETL framework like Airflow)
08Ability to work under conditions of ambiguity in a fast-growth, sometimes uncertain and complex environment
09Ability to identify issues both within and outside of your immediate scope, and propose solutions
10Ability to pushback, influence and draw attention to what moves the needle the most based on data and insights
