Responsibilities

01Shape the future of the Data & AI landscape by working with sophisticated data engineering and data science teams
02Act as a technical advisor internally to the sales team and advocate for customers with the product team
03Help customers achieve tangible data-driven outcomes using the Databricks Lakehouse Platform
04Collaborate with strategic prospects and customers, and work with product and engineering to drive the Databricks roadmap
05Develop architectures and solutions using the platform, guide customers through the competitive landscape and best practices
06Partner with the sales team to develop your book of business, define account strategies, and execute those strategies
07Consult on Big Data architectures and implement proof of concepts for strategic projects
08Validate integrations with cloud services, home grown tools, and other 3rd party applications
09Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects and support each other and our users
10Become an expert in, promote, and recruit contributors for Databricks inspired open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow)

0115+ years in a data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or similar pre-sales/consulting role
0210+ years of experience with Big Data technologies, including Apache Spark™, AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, Hadoop, Cassandra, and others
03Strong consulting / customer facing experience, working with external clients across a variety of industry markets
04Coding experience in Python, R, Java, Apache Spark™ or Scala
05Experience building distributed data systems
06Have built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
07Available to travel to customers in your region
