Responsibilities
- 01Lead, mentor, and grow a world-class engineering team
- 02Guide senior research engineers across endpoint internals, prevention engineering, and machine learning
- 03Coach career development, deliver candid feedback, own the hiring pipeline, and set new engineers up to contribute quickly
- 04Own the roadmap and drive delivery
- 05Work with product managers to define requirements and land high-quality features on release timelines
- 06Connect your team's work to the rest of Elastic Security
- 07Direct the team's machine learning work
- 08Drive cross-platform protection parity across Windows, macOS, and Linux
- 09Represent the team externally by supporting engineers in presenting at conferences and publishing research
Requirements
- 01People-leadership experience managing senior technical individual contributors on a globally distributed team
- 02Substantial hands-on experience as a security researcher analyzing attacker TTPs and building protections
- 03Operating system internals knowledge in both kernel and user mode, with deep Windows expertise
- 04Hands-on reverse engineering and malware analysis experience
- 05An adversarial instinct to anticipate how protections will be evaded
- 06Clear communication skills for technical and executive audiences
- 07Motivation to thrive in a distributed, autonomous environment
- 08Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools
