Responsibilities

  • 01Implement and operate Mercury’s first prudential regulatory compliance program for banking (focusing initially on Regulations W and O) including policies, procedures, governance framework, transactional controls and ongoing monitoring activities
  • 02Interface directly with and advise Mercury’s senior management on permissibility / advisability of proposed transactions
  • 03Engage and partner deeply with stakeholders across the organization including Legal, Finance, People/HR, Credit, etc.
  • 04Play a pivotal role in shaping how some of Mercury’s most business critical transactions come together in a safe and sound manner
  • 05Educate and grow Mercury’s compliance culture, awareness of prudential regulatory obligations, and best in-class practices via training and guidance to bank staff regarding prudential regulatory requirements
  • 06Maintain records and documentation on all prudential regulatory compliance activities and programs

Requirements

  • 01Have 5-7+ years of experience in building and/or operating prudential compliance programs including Regulations W and O and have a strong understanding of prudential regulations and regulatory expectations
  • 02Be well-versed in representing program outputs and decisions to senior executives, internal auditors, prudential regulators, and other third parties / stakeholders
  • 03Approach your work with a high quality bar and a strong sense of ownership - you see things through to completion and don’t settle
  • 04Bring a collaborative, problem-solving mindset to your work, have strong stakeholder management skills, and an ability to influence without direct authority
  • 05Be excited about using technology, including artificial intelligence, to enhance your capabilities and advance the profession in ways others may never even think of

  • 03US employees outside of New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $146,700 - $183,400
  • 04Canadian employees (any location): CAD 154,100 - 192,600
