Responsibilities

01Develop our large, distributed and highly-available infrastructure
02Implement platform tools that allow feature teams to deploy and manage the datastores for their services
03Research new technologies to accelerate new environment creation
04Carry cross team initiatives from end to end: code reviews, design reviews, operational robustness, security hygiene, etc
05Participate in the team's on-call rotation

01Have 5-8 years of software development experience
02Are proficient in or have a desire to learn Golang
03Have experience managing infrastructure with Terraform
04Have experience working with k8s, CICD
05Comfortable working with data storage systems, at scale and in a team environment using technologies such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Dynamodb
06Comfortable working on datastore reliability - standard configurations for data stores, latency, throughput, availability, utilization indicators, performance analysis
07Have experience working with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services
08Tend to deliver work incrementally to get feedback and iterate over solutions
09Have a passion for working on systems that are highly reliable, maintainable, scalable and secure
10Bring the right attitude to the team: ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
11Are comfortable working on a fully-distributed team

01Annual base salary range for candidates located in Canada is between: $136,000 — $187,000 CAD
