Responsibilities

  • 01Lead and manage operations: oversee all operational aspects of the business in the country, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with global standards.
  • 02Develop and execute strategy: build and implement local business strategies aligned with regional and global objectives to drive growth and profitability.
  • 03Foster partnerships: identify, negotiate, and maintain partnerships with local partners to optimize service offerings and expand the network.
  • 04Manage and grow the team: recruit, develop, and lead a high‑performing local team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • 05Drive customer success: ensure outstanding customer experience by maintaining service quality, resolving issues, and building long‑term client relationships.
  • 06Monitor market trends: analyze local market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • 07Ensure compliance: uphold legal, regulatory, and ethical standards across all operations.
  • 08Set and implement country strategy and financial targets (volume, revenue, net revenue, gross profit) in partnership with Sales, Finance and Regional leadership.
  • 09Develop tactics to execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and own end‑to‑end country P&L (gross revenue, COGS, net revenue, operating expenses).
  • 10Leverage procurement, pricing, planning and business development to fuel growth within the country.
  • 11Own all operational metrics (on‑time performance, schedule quality, productivity) and drive day‑to‑day strategy implementation with proper metrics and cascaded objectives.
  • 12Ensure regular reporting of country progress against plan and promote visibility to executive leadership.
  • 13Develop and execute the country’s procurement strategy for all trades, identify opportunities and lead strategic negotiations to secure maximum value.
  • 14Administer a clear vendor strategy (airlines, handlers, truckers), establish SLAs and rigorous performance management.
  • 15Formalize long‑term vision for internal vs. third‑party procurement and maintain an implementation roadmap.
  • 16Establish and maintain executive‑level relationships with key contacts at airlines and shipping lines domiciled in the territory.
  • 17Monitor end‑to‑end procurement cost vs. market and drive continuous improvements in competitiveness.
  • 18Drive product development by building service capabilities for Flexport products in the country and aligning them with market needs.
  • 19Partner with regional operations to standardize end‑to‑end service level agreements and develop new products when gaps exist.
  • 20Provide operations leadership on product quality, driving best‑in‑class quality measured by on‑time performance, schedule quality and other metrics.
  • 21Partner with product and engineering teams to identify gaps, act as a business partner, and help establish product requirements and roadmap.
  • 22Lead and develop a high‑performing team: define target organization, recruit and develop management, set objectives, manage engagement, performance and growth.
  • 23Lead the team through frequent transformations and re‑organizations in a high‑growth environment, ensuring adaptability while maintaining high performance.

  • 25Partner with Sales Organization to drive go‑to‑market strategies.
  • 26Drive strong collaboration between location and regional teams to design and implement the best end‑to‑end products for customers.
