Responsibilities
- 01Work closely with Lyft’s in-house and outside counsel to personally oversee certain personal injury litigation and pre-litigation matters
- 02Independently conduct factual investigations and lead document collection efforts related to pre-litigation matters and filed lawsuits
- 03Review and analyze records, memoranda, and summaries of factual research to make informed recommendations to in-house and outside counsel regarding case management
- 04Provide legal support to in-house attorneys and various internal business partners to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
- 05Help define procedures and practices within Legal to promote efficient workflows and handling of legal requests
- 06Think proactively about improving processes to help Lyft’s legal operations continue to scale effectively with incredible growth
- 07Maintain overall governance of existing processes and strategies
- 08Liaise with internal and external counsel and contacts on a day-to-day basis
- 09Lead projects and tasks within a broader legal strategy in collaboration with other team members
Requirements
- 01Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in litigation case management
- 02A JD or Paralegal certificate is required for this position
- 03Preference will be given to candidates with prior in-house legal or insurance claims handling experience
- 04Strong oral and written communication skills
- 05Collaborative, with ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships
- 06Exceptionally organized, efficient, detail-oriented, and articulate
- 07Ability to receive general direction and run projects independently
- 08Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

- 01Expected base pay range for this position in the Nashville area is $72,160 - $90,200
- 02Hybrid schedule working in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
