Responsibilities
- 01Set the multi-quarter vision for Sumo Logic's investigation and reliability experiences and turn it into a roadmap
- 02Own the roadmap, health, and competitiveness of the current data and reliability product surfaces
- 03Define how search, metrics, tracing, dashboards, monitors, alerts, and SLOs evolve into AI-assisted experiences
- 04Productize investigation workflows that reason across telemetry and surface actionable findings
- 05Own alerting accuracy, noise reduction, and operational health signals
- 06Shape how skills, tools, and agents are built on top of data surfaces with enterprise controls
- 07Work with engineering on query execution, performance, and reliability at enterprise scale
- 08Translate strategy into clear PRDs, proposals, user stories, and rollout plans
- 09Use telemetry to understand customer usage patterns and friction points
- 10Create leadership-facing proposals framing tradeoffs across customer demand, governance, and cost
Requirements
- 018+ years of product management experience with real observability or monitoring domain background
- 02Owned products in observability, monitoring, incident response, APM or operational-telemetry space
- 03Deep understanding of observability surface area including logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, monitors, alerts, and SLOs
- 04Proven ability to run a live, at-scale product while driving transformation
- 05Track record of owning broad, technically deep surfaces and setting direction
- 06Familiarity with how AI and agents are changing data interaction
- 07Strong technical instincts around query engines, time-series and trace data, and alerting systems
- 08Strong analytical skills using telemetry, dashboards, SQL, and usage data
- 09Excellent communication across technical and business audiences
- 10High ownership and drive to make progress across ambiguous surfaces
