Responsibilities
- 01Solve difficult problems in security, privacy, and systems at scale
- 02Engage in engineering, data analysis, open source software development
- 03Work on protocol design and implementation of primitives
- 04Conduct measurements and analysis
- 05Contribute to research projects in AI, Distributed Systems, Privacy, Trusted Execution Environments
Requirements
- 01Evidence of tackling hard or open-ended problems
- 02Proven track record of peer-reviewed research, open-source software contributions, or standards development
- 03Experience clearly communicating research ideas through papers, pre-prints, standards documents, blogs, or similar media
- 04Ability to work in a systems-level programming language (e.g. Rust, C, Go)
- 05Passion for debugging and ensuring system reliability
- 06Familiarity with continuous integration workflows and source control systems (e.g., Gitlab, Github)
- 07Willing and eager to share knowledge
- 08Knowledge or experience with computer networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, QUIC, etc.) and related algorithms
- 09Knowledge or experience with machine learning analysis, ideally in systems or network optimization
- 10Knowledge or experience with authentication protocols, applied cryptography, PKI and SSL/TLS
- 11Knowledge or experience with operating or distributed systems analysis or development
- 12Knowledge or experience with measurement for network and computer systems
- 13Proficiency in a scripting language, such as Python
