Responsibilities
- 01Build API interfaces and backend infrastructure and collaborate with UI, connectivity and DevOps teams to come up with elegant solutions to complex problems
- 02Build complex Ruby on Rails applications
- 03Build server-side infrastructure for the Workato user interface
- 04Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
- 05Write well-designed, testable, efficient code
- 06Evaluate and propose improvements to the existing system
- 07Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
Requirements
- 01BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- 027+ years of experience developing, shipping and maintaining Rails applications
- 03Strong knowledge of Ruby
- 04Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills
- 05Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming and design
- 06Experience with relational database systems (PostgreSQL) and Redis-based / Memcached caching
- 07Contributions to open-source projects are a plus
