Responsibilities
- 01Drive the design, implementation, and reliability of our foundational data platforms and systems
- 02Work closely with stakeholders and internal customers to understand and refine requirements
- 03Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
- 04Proactively identify opportunities for improvements to current programming practices
- 05Present technical information to teams and stakeholders
- 06Provide guidance and insight on development processes and technologies
Requirements
- 015+ years of full-time engineering experience post-graduation
- 02Specialization in back-end systems
- 03Experience building large-scale data storage, streaming, and warehousing systems
- 04Experience with database technologies (MongoDB, Postgres)
- 05Experience with streaming/processing solutions (Kinesis, Flink, Spark)
- 06Experience with indexing/caching (ElasticSearch, Redis)
- 07Experience with data query engines (Trino, Presto, Snowflake)
- 08Track record of mentoring and leading teams in successful projects
- 09Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- 10Ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- 11Experience with containerization & deployment technologies like Kubernetes
- 12Experience with various public cloud offerings
- 13Extensive experience in software development
- 14Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms and data systems
