Responsibilities
- 01Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers
- 02Drive the architectural vision for the platform
- 03Work with product managers, program managers, design & analytics teams to define, prioritize and deliver new features
- 04Take responsibility for the planning and execution of major features
- 05Own the monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the systems your team develops
- 06Enable the team to operate efficiently by removing technical obstacles
- 07Contribute to planning for organizational growth including allocation of engineering resources
- 08Participate in hiring and assignment of projects
Requirements
- 018+ years of experience building distributed systems and/or foundational cloud services at scale
- 02Experience in languages like Python, Golang, Java or Rust
- 032+ years of experience managing a team of 3+ engineers
- 04Track record in hiring, mentoring, and growing high-performing software engineering teams
- 05Experience working with remote teams
- 06Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills
- 07Strong background in building core components for high-scale compute or data processing/distributed systems
- 08Have led the launch of new features and maintained them in production
