Responsibilities
- 01Work with clients on short to medium term customer engagements on their big data challenges using the Databricks platform
- 02Provide data engineering, data science, and cloud technology projects which require integrating with client systems, training, and other technical tasks
- 03Design and build reference architectures
- 04Create how-to's and productionalize customer use cases
- 05Work with engagement managers to scope variety of professional services work
- 06Guide strategic customers as they implement transformational big data projects, 3rd party migrations
- 07Consult on architecture and design
- 08Bootstrap or implement customer projects
- 09Provide escalated level of support for customer operational issues
- 10Work with Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect and Customer team to ensure technical components are delivered
- 11Work with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback
Requirements
- 016+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics
- 02Comfortable writing code in either Python or Scala
- 03Working knowledge of two or more common Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one
- 04Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark™ and knowledge of Spark runtime internals
- 05Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments
- 06Working knowledge of MLOps
- 07Design and deployment of performant end-to-end data architectures
- 08Experience with technical project delivery - managing scope and timelines
- 09Documentation and white-boarding skills
- 10Experience working with clients and managing conflicts
- 11Build skills in technical areas which support deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions
- 12Travel to customers 20% of the time
